Carletta Latrice Breaux
September 30, 1968 - December 25, 2024
Lafayette: Carletta Latrice Breaux was born on September 30, 1968 in Phoenix, Arizona to Joseph Wilson, Sr. and Sallie Jean Gomillion Breaux. She grew up attending church with her family and was involved in the youth and young adult ministries. She even spent a brief time directing some songs for the youth choir because of her interest in music. She did pursue (use another word) music lessons (piano and guitar), but decided against continuing when she found out she would have to cut her nails. She landed on being a clarinetist since she could keep her nail length. She also demonstrated skillful artistic ability expressed through her writings, poems, and drawings.
After matriculation through high school, she pursued a degree at the University of Southwestern Louisiana but then decided to pursue a career in optometry where she excelled greatly at Pearle Vision, Texas State Optical (TSO), and America's Best. Her excellent performance garnered the attention of her upper Management so much so that she was sent to various regions for short-term assignments to train their staff.
Carletta was a devoted wife and loving and attentive mother to her 3 (three) children Vincent, Dylan, and Diamond. She always spent time with them and made them a priority even though she was a working mother. She endeavored to ensure that her children grew up to be productive citizens in society, teaching them at home and encouraging to participate in school and sport activities.
Before becoming ill, she made a public and open statement of her decision to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior at the Hope of Glory Lighthouse Ministries (Lafayette, LA) under the leadership of her Mother, Apostle Sallie J. Breaux. After a challenging health challenge, Carletta transitioned from mortality to immortality on December 25, 2024.
Carletta leaves to cherish her memory, her parents Joseph W. Breaux, Sr. & Sallie Jean Gomillion Breaux, two sons and one daughter, Vincent Wilson Dejuan Williams, Dylan Andre Williams, and Diamond Jewel Renae Williams, her in laws, The Hall Family (Mrs. Hall, Gabrielle Hall, and Monique Hall); Her siblings Joseph W. Breaux, Jr (Erica), Marcelia Renae Breaux Anderson (Albert), and Dylan Andre Wilson Breaux (Shanel). Grandchildren (Antoine, Serenity, Tatiana, Amiyah, and Yazmyn), Uncles, Aunts Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and a host of family and friends.
