Carlotta Ann Brown, 76, passed away on July 15, 2025, in Batesville, AR. She was born on May 29, 1949, in Batesville, AR, to the late R. G. Burge and Ernestine (Stalling) Burge. She was a special education teacher at Southside School District. Carlotta was an avid reader and a volunteer at Southside City Hall. She was full of joy, and everyone who met her loved her. Carlotta loved her kids and grandkids and spending time with them. Above all else, she loved the Lord and was an active member and prayer warrior at Jubilee Family Church. Carlotta was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, wife, and friend who will be greatly missed by all those blessed to know her.
Carlotta is survived by her son, Jonathan Brown; daughter, Gloria Brown; grandchildren, Landon Brown and Braden Serre; brother, Randy Burge of Vicksburg, MS; and sisters, Kay O'Brien (Gene), Jean Parker of Springdale, AR, and Polly Thompson of Silver Springs, MD. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of forty-eight years, Ron Brown.
Jubilee Family Church will host the visitation on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 12 PM to 2 PM with the funeral service beginning at 2 PM. Interment will follow at Egner Cemetery in Salado, AR.
