Carma Jean Yell, a beacon of loving-kindness and a devoted follower of her Christian faith, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, in Key Largo, Florida. Born in Berrien Springs, Michigan, on November 27, 1937, to Harold Tudor and Margaret (Myers) Tudor, Carma's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of spirit. Her 87 years of life was marked by an unwavering commitment to her family, faith, and the many friendships she cherished deeply.
Carma was the beloved matriarch of her family, a source of unconditional love and support. Though she was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Margaret Tudor, as well as her cherished husband, Chester Yell, and her Son Scott Hutchings, her nurturing presence will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered by her step daughters, Christine (James) Beck and Debra Myers, as well as her daughter in law Lori Hutchings and son Mark Hutchings. Carma will be fondly remembered as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.
Throughout her life, Carma embodied the virtues of kindness and faith. Her relationship with God was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's challenges and triumphs with grace and gratitude. She spread joy and compassion wherever she went, touching lives with her gentle words and warm embrace. Her impact on her community was as profound as it was enduring.
Carma's legacy is one of love and devotion. Her life story serves as a beautiful example of how to live a life filled with purpose and faith. As we say farewell to Carma Jean Yell, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the extraordinary life she led. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly, inspiring those she leaves behind to live with the same boundless love and unwavering faith that she demonstrated every day of her life.
The heavenward journey of Carma Jean Yell is not an end, but a continuation of a life well-lived, as she undoubtedly carries on to a place of eternal peace and joy. With grateful hearts, we honor her memory and the countless ways in which she enriched our lives. We are comforted by the thought that she rests now in the loving arms of her Creator, her faith having been sight, her belief turned to realization, surrounded by the love that will forever echo in the memories she leaves behind.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Allred Funeral Home in Berrien Springs, Michigan. A funeral service will be held on Friday July 11th at 12:00 PM at Allred Funeral Home. A public visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
