Carmen Ross Obituary

Carmen Ross (Rotenberger), 56, of Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, surrounded by her children, parents, and loving family and friends at the hospital. Born on May 23, 1969, in Litchfield, Minnesota, Carmen was the daughter of Ruth Ann and Ronald Rotenberger, and bonus daughter to Terese Rotenberger. She was the sister of Gary (Angie) Rotenberger and David (Lonnie) Rotenberger. Carmen built a home and successful hairdressing business in Lisbon, ND, where she was a beloved part of the community before later making her home in Fargo. Carmen was previously married to Willie Ross. Carmen was the proud and devoted mother of Dylan, Andriana, Tyus, and bonus son Jordan, who held a special place in her heart. She was also the beloved grandmother of Laylla, Aureah, A'Niya, and Dario. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and connection. A passionate and hardworking woman, Carmen dedicated herself to her roles as a hairdresser, service manager, and especially her work at Open Door, where she made a meaningful impact and formed deep bonds with coworkers and clients alike. She also had a deep love for horseback riding, and was known for her kind heart, strong spirit, and wide circle of friends who cherished her dearly. Carmen was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Ruth Ann Rotenberger, and her brother, David Rotenberger. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, from 6–7 PM followed by a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Lisbon. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, July 30, at 2 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lisbon, ND. Carmen's service will be live streamed below. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery near Lisbon. Carmen's legacy lives on in the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the family who will forever carry her in their hearts.
