Hartsell Funeral Home - HarrisburgCarol Ann Ashby, 80, of Harrisburg, joined our Heavenly Father in the Kingdom of Heaven unexpectedly on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
Carol was born January 7, 1945 in Colorado. She was a homemaker and stay at home mom, loving wife and mother. She always stayed busy. Carol loved gardening, painting and reading. She always had a hug and a smile for everyone. She loved to look across the street and watch the horse and donkey. She was also a faithful Christian.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Ashby; son, Butch Ashby; and granddaughter, Beth Ashby.
Those left to cherish Carol's memory include her daughter, Sandra Ashby; granddaughter Kristine Ashby; and her dog, Bella Ashby (who she loved very much).
Carol's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 10:30 am at Harrisburg Presbyterian Church, 4815 State Hwy 49, Harrisburg, NC, officiated by Rev. Meg Skidmore.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care Cabarrus, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or to the American Diabetes Association, https://diabetes.org/.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg is serving the Ashby family.
