Carol E. Lanzerotti, age 99, of Fremont, died on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Living Tree Estates in Greenville. She was born on December 13, 1925 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Richard and Eleanor(Wold)Knutson. Carol married Donald DuBois and together they had three children, Dale, David and Daniel. Don preceded her in death in 1980. Carol later met Leonard Lanzerotti and they were married in July 1986. They then moved to Fremont and lived on the Wolf River where they enjoyed many activities, especially fishing. Len preceded Carol in death on November 11, 2012.
While living in Chicago, Carol worked as an accountant for Mueller Accounting for many years.
Carol was a member of Hope United Church of Christ in Fremont, as well as the Fremont-Wolf River American Legion Auxiliary Post 391. She loved golfing, bowling, playing bridge and watching the Chicago Cubs.
Carol is survived by two sons, Dale (Christine) DuBois, Mishicot, WI and David (Christine) DuBois, South Elgin, IL; two step-sons, Bruce (Tara) Lanzerotti, IN and Barry (Cheryl) Lanzerotti, Aurora, IL and a brother-in-law, Lawrence (Reva) Lanzerotti, TN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Dubois, her second husband, Leonard Lanzerotti, and a son, Daniel DuBois.
Per Carol's wishes, no services will be held.
