Carol Dean O'Connor of Georgetown, TX, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, at age 96.
Carol was born April 2, 1929, in Pickford, Michigan, the daughter of Merrill Hillock and Valerie Richard Hillock. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Carol was valedictorian of her graduating class of Pickford High School in 1946.
Carol married Bernard Thomas O'Connor on October 22, 1949, in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. They celebrated their 60 years of marriage shortly before Bernard's passing in 2009.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband Bernard, and sons Dale and Dennis. She is survived by daughter-in-laws Maryann O'Connor and Jennifer O'Connor, son Donald and daughter-in-law Lynne, daughter Diane and son-in-law Bernard, and son Alan. Carol is survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Carol was an avid bridge and cribbage player. Her nurturing heart, deep Catholic faith, and radiant personality will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever in our hearts.
The visitation will be at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas on Monday July 14th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Rosary and Mass will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, July 15th at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Andice, Texas. The burial will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery on Friday July 18th at 2:00 pm.
