Ms. Carol Ann Porter of 1124 Paxton Street, Danville, Virginia entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 4, 2025 at Sovah Health Danville, Virginia.
She was born on November 26, 1955 in Danville, Virginia to the late Calvin and Essie Marie Graves Porter. Carol graduated from George Washington High School and Averett University. She was employed with McDonalds's as a manager for thirty years and Aramark, Inc as a supervisor. Carol accepted Christ at as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a devoted lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church in Danville, Virginia. She served as a secretary, deaconess, choir member and chairman of the kitchen committee and in any capacity where she needed.
Carol leaves to cherish her memories three brothers, Carl (Andrea), Curtis, and Clifton Porter all of Danville, Virginia; one nephew Carion "CJ" Jenning Porter of Orange Park, Florida; one great nephew Carlo Porter; one great niece Sienna Porter both of Orange Park, Florida; one aunt Deborah Gray and a host of cousins, former classmates and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025 at the chapel of J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, Rev. Patricia Daniels, Eulogist.
The family is asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:45 a.m.
Professional funeral services have been entrusted to the staff of the J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main St. Danville, Va., Bishop Jeffrey L. Dodson, Sr.,
