Carol Reineman
Jefferson, IowaCarol Ann Kendall came into this world in the Lake City Hospital on September 22, 1944. Carol passed away peacefully under the watchful and loving gaze of her soul mate, John, on July 15, 2025.
Carol's parents were Loren B Kendall and Lucille C (Netherton) Kendall. The family lived on a farm near Auburn, Iowa where Carol attended school in her early childhood. The Family later moved to a farm West of Dana, Iowa. Carol attended the Dana school and then East Green School when the schools were consolidated. The oved from Dana to their home in Grand Junction, Iowa where Carol graduated from East Green High School in 1962.
John Reineman and Carol Kendall were united in marriage on July 12, 1963. They had just celebrated their 62nd anniversary. The couple moved to their home in Jefferson where they still reside. They have two children, Tamera and Jeffery.
Carol started her working career at the switch board at the Greene County Medical Center and then she later was a receptionist/office assistant at the Greene County Clinic. After working at the Greene County Clinic she went to work for Ideal Manufacturing until its closure. Carol knew how to work hard. When she was between jobs she would clean houses. Carol really found her niche when she was hired at Northrup King, now Syngenta Seeds. She was dedicated and skilled at making sure that office world was humming like a fine tuned machine. One of the store owners on the square even referred to her as the Bean Queen.
Carol's love language was food. To say that she was a good cook would be an understatement. She could whip something up in no time from scratch and it was always delicious. She would tune into what people's tastes where and surprise them with their favorites. She loved doing that. Her grandchildren often referred to her as a "food pusher". If you left her house hungry, it was your own fault. Carol didn't know a stranger and loved a good party, often providing the tasty morsels for the party.
After Carol retired, she and John were fortunate to travel to Florida and other destinations with friends. You could also find her giving rides to people for medical treatments. She was passionate about helping in this way since she was a two-time breast cancer survivor.
Left to carry on her zest for life are her husband, John, daughter, Tamera Keck, son, Jeffrey (Mae Lynne) Reineman, sisters, Joan (Rick) McCollom, and Lois (Robert) Krause, five grandchildren, Kendall (Ceric) Keck, John (Lydia Garrett) Reineman, Dale (Ashley) Reineman, Ruby (Kyler) Hall, Paul Reineman, three great-grandchildren, Ayla and Talia Keck, Chase Reineman, one great granddaughter due in October, extended family and many friends. Those waiting for Carol's arrival are her parents, brother, Harrold Kendall and infant grandson Joseph Keck.
