LACONIA ---- Carole Ann (Chambers) Hamilton, 83, of Holman Street, passed away at home on Monday, August 4, 2025.
She was born on June 29, 1942, at Valley Hospital in North Hollywood, California, to Magness "Joe" and Grace Chambers. She graduated from North Hollywood High School in 1960 and lived at her family home until she married. Her early life centered around First Assembly of God in North Hollywood, where she was active in church ministries and Youth for Christ.
While working as a switchboard operator and secretary at Angelus Temple, Carole met her future husband, Jack Hamilton, a student at L.I.F.E. Bible College and the brother of her close friend, Judy. Together, Jack and Carole sang in student groups and developed life-long and rich friendships. They were married August 3, 1963, at First Assembly of God in North Hollywood.
After Jack's graduation in 1965, the couple served the Western Canada District of the Foursquare Church as youth directors. They went on to pastor Hastings Foursquare Church in Vancouver and later served as assistant pastors at Kingsway Foursquare Church. Their sons Jeffrey (1966) and Bradley (1968) were born during these years.
Returning to California, Jack and Carole briefly served as youth pastors at The People's Church in Ventura before becoming senior pastors at the Santa Maria Foursquare Church in 1970. Their daughter Jennifer was born in 1972. During the years they served in Santa Maria, Carole began a women's ministry that had hundreds of women in weekly attendance. She also had a creative an innovative approach to children's ministry, specifically nursery ministry.
In 1982, they accepted leadership roles at L.I.F.E. Bible College, with Jack as President and Carole as Executive Assistant. There, her passion to mentor student wives was realized in a ministry to many of whom are in Foursquare leadership in many capacities to this day.
Throughout the years of her ministry, Carole, an ordained Foursquare minister, became a respected leader in women's ministry locally and globally within the Foursquare denomination. Throughout the 1980's she served and was appointed Vice President of United Foursquare Women, serving until 1992. She was instrumental in the ministry of the Alabaster House, which served Foursquare missionaries for decades. She was a sought-after women's speaker and mentor to many throughout her lifetime.
From 1992 to 1995, Jack and Carole pastored Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius, North Carolina, where Carole launched the "Heart and Home" ministry.
From 1995-2007, Carole served in pastoral care at The Church on the Way in Van Nuys, CA, where Jack was an executive Pastor. They served from 2007-2019 on the Pastoral staff and as elders at the Church on the Way Santa Clarita, CA (now Crosspoint). They were also District Supervisors of the Pacific Coasts and Valley's District for Foursquare and Carole continued to minister to and mentor pastors' wives during these years.
After retiring in 2019, Jack and Carole moved to Laconia, New Hampshire, where they lived with their daughter and her husband, serving as elders at Real Life Church until their passing. Carole was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack, in November 2021, and she went home to be with her Savior on August 4, 2025.
Carole was a caring daughter, a loving wife, a devoted mother and a wonderful Grammy and Gigi to her 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She believed her greatest ministry was to her family and the fruit of her life is the legacy of that.
She is survived by her son Jeff and daughter-in-law Jayme, and their children Justin (Savannah) and Jordanne, son Brad and daughter-in-law Heather, and their children Lauren (Shane Fontaine), Morgan, Christian, Cash and Caleb, and daughter JJ and son-in-law Tim Vercellono and their children, Shea (Sean Hood), KC (Derek Nelson), and Jackson (Madison) as well as 4 great-grandchildren, Emmylou and Harper Hood (Shea and Sean), Jasper Vercellono (Jackson and Madison) and Riley Fontaine (Lauren and Shane), as well as many cousins and her nieces and nephew.
A private burial will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery – Hollywood Hills, in Los Angeles, CA.
