Carolene Juen Blain age 86 passed away peacefully on Monday July 21, 2025, while at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House in Huntington, WV.

Carolene was born on May 1, 1939, in Gallipolis, Oh and was a proud graduate of Gallia Acadamy High School. She began working early in her life and after graduating she was employed as a switchboard operator in the original Holzer Hospital building downtown Gallipolis.

Carolene is preceded in death by her parents, one infant brother that passed away at birth, her first husband and father to her children, Forrest Keith Moore and her husband, Kevin Blain.

She was a very hard-working and caring woman that was not afraid of work even while working outside the home she took pride in keeping her yard in top shape mowing and trimming keeping up the curb appeal even as she started to age, she would always take pride in keeping her home in tip top shape. Carolene kept working with Holzer and completed her time working as Pediatric Medical Assistant at the new location in Gallipolis on Jackson Pike.

She loved her family and friends she was even blessed with the chance to hold and enjoy her first great great-grandchild before she became sick.

She was a very active person, she was member of The Pleasant View Church, and she would play piano and organ there as well as many other area churches when needed. Though Carolene was small in stature she was a very "feisty" woman she was the boss and was not afraid to keep everyone inline when needed.

She loved her dogs, there was no such thing as a stray, if it showed up it had a home, she was especially fond of her Pomeranians which she leaves behind 5, she loved to crochet and was an avid Gamer, she loved her Roll Playing Games which was funny to see her play at her age, but she was a real gamer and was very good at it.

Carolene leaves behind a loving family, Cheryl Moore Harbour, Robin Moore and Keith Moore, grandkids, Sean Harbour, Jason Moore, Brianna Moore, Amber Brumfield and Brian (Courtney) Brumfield, great-grand kids, Maddison Brumfield, Zion Brumfield, Landon Beaver, Hudson Moore, Harper Moore, Justus Powers and Jasisten Brumfield and 2 Great great-grandkids along with one sister, Becky (Jim) Slone
