Caroline Behul Obituary

Born in Newark to her parents Joseph Fleckenstein and Catherine Higgenbotham, she lived in Iselin for many years before moving to Beachwood in 1997. She married her husband Rudolph Behul Sr. in 1957.
Caroline was a devoted mother, housewife, and parishioner of St. Cecelia's Church in Iselin. She loved her family more than anything. She is remembered best for her love of Atlantic City, her indoor plants and cactuses, baking cookies, shopping and spending time with her family during the holidays.
She is predeceased by her husband Rudolph Behul Sr. (2018), her parents Joseph Fleckenstein and Catherine Higgenbotham, her brother Ronald Fleckenstein, and her sister Kathleen Schaefer.
She is survived by her children, Rudolph Behul Jr. of Phillipsburg, Cynthia Behul-Stutcavage of Metuchen, David Behul Sr., of Dunnellon FL, Lisa Schulz and her husband Robert of Avenel, Theresa Holloran and her husband Charles Jr. of Somerset; her grandchildren Thomas Behul, David Behul Jr., Samantha Schulz, Crystal Rae Stutcavage, and Edward Scott Stutcavage; one great-grandchild, Roman Perschilli-Behul; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 1225 Green Street and Cooper Ave., Iselin
Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 9:30am at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:15am at St. Cecelia's Church, Iselin. The interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Caroline.
