Mrs. Carolyn Alcre Cannady, age 88, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025. She was born on February 22, 1937, to the late Amos Ross and Wilma Baldwin Ross.
Carolyn was a faithful and devoted member of Baltimore Avenue Church of God, where her deep-rooted faith was evident in every aspect of her life. She found great joy in spending time with her friends, especially while yard saling and visiting with the elderly-sharing stories, laughter, and the word of God.
She is survived by her loving son, Terry (Debra) Cannady; grandchildren, Brandon (Brandi) Cannady and Amy (Jeremiah) Cofield; great-grandchildren, Gabriella (Kameron) Davis, Emma (Casey) Pell, Landon Cannady, and Ashton Cannady. She also leaves behind her special friend, Nettie Alexander, and a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Cannady; son, Gary Cannady; brother, James (Faye) Ross; and sisters, Elosie Mosely and Kathy (Willard) Westmoreland.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. Morrell Upchurch, Bro. Jonathan Lambert, and Bro. Randy Woodson will officiate.
Pallbearers assisting her to her final resting place at Marshall Memorial Gardens will include Brandon Cannady, Ashton Cannady, Landon Cannady, Kameron Davis, Casey Pell, and Frankie Glasscox.
Carolyn's kind spirit, unwavering faith, and love for others will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
