CAROLYN JO GOODWIN

Carolyn Jo Goodwin, age 85, of Belton, Missouri passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, at the Groves Community in Independence, Missouri surrounded by her loving family.

Memorial services will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 at First Church of the Nazarene 11811 State Line Rd, Kansas City, Missouri 64114. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow the services at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.

Carolyn was born in Mangum, Oklahoma on March 6, 1940, the daughter of Clyde Ferguson and Wilma Lake. In life, Carolyn worked as an LPN at St. Joseph Medical Center and retiring after 20 plus years. Carolyn was very active in her church at First Church of the Nazarene in Kansas City, MO. She also loved singing and producing several albums.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Wilma Ferguson; her loving husband, Clifford L. Goodwin; four sisters, Bobbie Forbis, Wanda Ferguson, Tootie Minchio, and Lorreta Richards; and brother in-law, Steven Vest.

She is survived by her two sons, Darrel L. Goodwin (Connie) and Michael Goodwin (Brenda); stepson, Joseph "Tad" Brown (Stacy); brother, Clyde "Buddy" Ferguson; sister, Brenda Vest; two grandchildren, Rebecca Anne Goodwin and Kristina Marie Carchi; and two great grandchildren, Lacey and Lucas.
