Mrs. Carolyn S. Barham, age 88, of Eagleville, Tennessee, surrounded by her family, died on Monday evening, August 4, 2025 at her home in Eagleville. She was a daughter of the late William Dink and Loula Brittian Scales.
Mrs. Barham had many personal and professional accomplishment in her life including: obtaining and Education Specialist Degree from MTSU and former employee of the Adjutant General’s office for the Tennessee State Government. She was also a retired school teacher having taught at Eagleville School for 35 years. She also kept the clock at Eagleville basketball games for many of those years.
Mrs. Carolyn was a very active member of the Eagleville Baptist Church where she served as the church organist and pianist for many years. She was a Sunday School teacher, Bible School teacher, and youth fellowship leader for many years.
Mrs. Barham and her husband, Nolan, had a deep love for traveling and was fortunate enough to have visited England, Spain, Russia, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Holland.
When she was not busy doing all these things, she still found time to teach private piano lessons and attend Aerospace Workshops for teachers where she learned to fly. But above all else, her first love was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she so adored.
Mrs. Barham is survived by her husband of 42 years, Nolan Spencer Barham, Sr, Eagleville, TN; son Bobby (Jenny) Turner, Eagleville, TN; grandchildren, Perry Turner, Carolina Turner, William Turner, Olivia Turner; sister, Bobbie Lou (Campbell) Attkisson, College Grove, TN.
Family members will receive friends on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday morning, August 8, 2025 at 10:30 am from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Grooms, Rev. Joshua Underwood and Rev. Greg Sawyer officiating. Burial will follow in Triune Cemetery in Triune, TN.
David Turner, Paul Turner, Spencer Barham, Randall Lamb, Tony Tucker and Richard Turner will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Underwood, Buddy Pate, Leslie Kelley, John Frost, Paul Dyer, Dr. Wayne Coward, Jim Woomer, Eddie Barham, Ronnie Gannon, Campbell Attkisson, Bill Tollett, Ken Craddock, Drew Simmons and members of the Eagleville Baptist Church Choir.
