Carolyn Jeannette Scott, born on January 21, 1947, in Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025, in Splendora, Texas. A cherished homemaker, Carolyn dedicated her life to her family, embodying the essence of love and nurturing throughout her years.
As a devoted mother, Carolyn was the proud parent of Tommy Lynn Scott and his wife Renee, Tracey Norton and her husband Lee, and Travis Scott and Claudia. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Jessica Squires, Kendra Mejia and her husband Andrew, Shelbie Morrow, T.J. Scott, Ronnie Scott, Kevin Norton and his wife Rachel, Rachael Dotson and her husband James, Travis Scott, Courtney Scott, Trenton Scott, Kylie Scott, and Adalia Scott. She was also adored by her great-grandchildren: James, Makayla, Gabby, Conner, Khloe, Chloe, Hope, Karter, Anniston, Delilah, Hallie, Ryland, Hannah, Delilah Jean, Harper, and Avani. Carolyn's happiest moments were spent surrounded by these generations, whom she loved deeply and inspired with her faith.
Carolyn lived a life dedicated to spreading the love and teachings of the Lord, ensuring that those around her were always reminded of God's presence in their lives. Known for her warm personality and infectious spirit, it was said that to know her was to love her. Her many passions included spending time at the beach, where she found joy and solace.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Thomas Scott, father, William Edward Allen; her mother, Zadie V. Allen; her son, Trent William Scott; her granddaughter, Katelynn Scott; her sisters, Jewell Evelynn Chamberlin and Gladys Evelyn "Sister" Phillips; and her brothers, William Edward "Sonny" Allen, Jr., Leonard Wayne "Buddy" Allen, and Douglas Michael Allen, Jr. Carolyn also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and a host of friends who will remember her for her loving spirit and unwavering faith.
A visitation for Carolyn will be held on April 3, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, both at Neal Funeral Home, located at 200 South Washington Avenue, Cleveland, Texas, 77327.
Carolyn Jeannette Scott's legacy is one of love, faith, and devotion to family. Even in her farewell, she instilled a final reminder in her loved ones by saying, "say your prayers." She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched throughout her lifetime.
