Carolyn Ruth (Roseland) Voss, age 83, of Cambridge passed away peacefully and comfortably while receiving hospice care at Milaca Meadows on June 29, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 14th at Cambridge Lutheran Church. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Carolyn Ruth (Roseland) Voss was born September 28, 1941 in Anoka, Minnesota to Olaf and Julia (Putnam) Roseland. She grew up in Constance, Minnesota and graduated from Anoka High School in 1959. In her four years of high school she earned 4-H Keys for being so involved. On June 23, 1962 Carolyn married Henry Voss in Anoka. Carolyn worked at Marquette National for many years in Minneapolis. In 1968 Henry and Carolyn moved to Cambridge and Carolyn worked at Cambridge State Bank for 35 years, retiring in 2004. The next year she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer from 2004 until she beat it in 2006. She was a member of Cambridge Lutheran Church and was involved in the Braham Moose Lodge. Carolyn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who would always make sure everyone was fed and happy. She loved taking pictures of her family, dancing, traveling around the US, going to amusement parks and riding rollercoasters and loved the thrill of all rides. She was determined and strong and also had a special sense of humor. Carolyn also went with the flow, and would be good with "whatever". She was loved very much and will be dearly missed.
Carolyn Voss passed away peacefully and comfortably while receiving hospice care at Milaca Meadows on June 29, 2025 at the age of 83 years. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; brother, Carl; sister, Joyce; and granddaughter, Amber Rose Platz; and great-granddaughter, Mally Marie Jenson.
She is survived by her children, Dean (Ronda) Voss, Jolene (Darrell) Platz, and Gayle Voss; grandchildren, Joey, Nicole (Danny), Zach (Ashley), Matt (Logan), Derek (Kayla), Rachel (James), Kristina, Kaelyn (Chase) and Brandi (Jacob); great-grandchildren, Rylee, Avah, Bentley, Braxten, Brayden, Olivia, Kreed, Axel, Emersyn, Everly, Hendrik and Dominic; and by many other relatives and friends.
