Scott Haines, 47, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away April 28, 2025.
Carrell Scott Haines was born on April 5, 1978, to Carrell Bruce and Patricia Haines.
Scott attended and graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1996. He earned his
Associate's degree in nursing from the University of South Dakota in May of 2007.
In October of 2008, he accepted a position with the Black Hills Health Care System where he
earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix.
He met his wife, Melinda, in 1993 and were joined in marriage on May 29, 1998. They
welcomed two sons: Carrell Micheal Melvin on May 8, 1997, and Hunter Riley on January 16,
2004.
He enjoyed working in his garage, riding his motorcycle, going to concerts and University of
South Dakota football games. He loved his dogs, Bruno, Boris, Gidget and Dixie.
Grateful to share his life are his wife, Melinda, his sons Carrell Micheal Haines (Caryn) and
Hunter Riley Haines, his parents, Bruce and Patty Haines, his sisters, Carrie Gasta, Cindy
Maas, and Dawn Ransom, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers: Shawn Lawrence, Jason Christopherson, Jeff Janis, Aidyn Janis, Ethan Janis and Travis Kropuenske
Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2025 at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD followed by committal service at Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs.
