Carrie Elizabeth Cone
October 1, 1945 -September 19, 2025
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me…" ~Psalm 23:4

Carrie Elizabeth Cone was born on October 1, 1945, in Greenville, Florida. She remained a resident of this community where she also raised her family. She was well known from her years of employment at Metal Products and Dixie Packers, as well as her management of convenience stores locally to Franklin County.

A devout Christian, Carrie was of the Pentecostal faith. For the past decade, she worshipped at her new church home, Madison Church of God. When her health no longer allowed her to attend in person, she enjoyed watching the service as it was live streamed. With the joy of the Lord in her heart, she lovingly greeted everyone, enthusiastically voiced her "Amens" and commended the pastor for his powerful message.

Carrie loved the outdoors; it didn't matter to her if it was fishing on the Suwannee River or a roadside creek, or hunting in the woods because she always found peace and solace. In her contentment, she was happy to just sit, hum a gospel tune, and watch the bobber at the end of her cane pole. She also loved gardening her flowers and plants. Among her favorites were Lincoln roses and sweet-smelling Jasmine.

Carrie passionately loved the Lord and her family. She shared her love for Him by making it her Christian mission to teach each family member about the Lord and how to love like Jesus. Beginning with the oldest grandchild and ending with the youngest great-grandchild, she faithfully asked, "Who loves you?" If the answer was not God and Granny, they were given a refresher lesson. During the end of her life, she was still concerned about her family and their salvation, for she stated, "I can't go to Heaven yet, not without my family." She has given her family a legacy to build on and one to be immensely proud of.

Surrounded by her loving family at home on Friday, September 19, 2025, Carrie Elizabeth Cone peacefully transitioned from this walk of life to enter the gates of Heaven.
