Carroll L. Garner, of Dardanelle, passed away on July 13, 2025, while residing at the Dardanelle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dardanelle, Arkansas. She was born on September 17, 1942, in Chickalah, Arkansas, and grew up in Artesia, New Mexico. She later returned to Arkansas and made her home in Dardanelle, where she spent many years working at Valmac.
Carroll was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ellen and Denver Garner. She is survived by seven brothers: Richard of Elk City, Oklahoma; Robert (Bob) and Helen, Steve and Diana, Don and Roxie, John David and Donna, Daryl, and Danny - all of Dardanelle. She also leaves behind a host of loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Throughout the years, Carroll poured her love into her dogs - Winston, Shadow, and Trey. They weren't just pets; they were her babies, her loyal companions, and the center of her world. If the old saying "all dogs go to heaven" is true, we take comfort in knowing they were waiting for her - tails wagging, ready to welcome her home with the same unconditional love she gave them every day.
Carroll was always thinking of others, and her love often showed up in the mailbox. Her envelopes - often stuffed with anything joyful or creative for the little ones - were her way of showing love, and somehow reached just as deeply into the hearts of the grown-ups. She found great joy in sending handwritten notes, newspaper clippings, little drawings, and recipes to friends and family. She never forgot a birthday and was known for sending a card every single year without fail. Her family often joked that she single-handedly kept the Dardanelle Post Office in business with all the stamps she bought.
These thoughtful gestures were Carroll's quiet way of showing people they were loved and mattered. She may be gone from our sight, but the way she made people feel - that will never be forgotten.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle.

Aunt Carroll never forgot my birthday or Christmas, from the first time I met her. She so reminded me of my Great Aunt Margaret. Was always a treasure to get a card or letter from her.
Any one who ever received a treasure from Aunt Carroll, was truly blessed. She will be dearly missed.
I am thankful to have known this sweet, loving woman. ( And to have been in her address book).
