Mrs. Diaz was born September 12, 1945 in Mexico to Manuela (Ortiz) and Pedro Rodriguez. She married Gustavo Diaz in Mexico on October 25, 1967. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Seminole and was a homemaker. Celestina was a very quiet and simple woman who enjoyed cooking, dancing, listening to music, gardening and taking care of her fruit trees; she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Celestina R. Diaz passed away Friday, July 4, 2025 at Seminole Memorial Health Care Center. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gustavo Diaz; one son, and two brothers. She is survived by one son, Efren Diaz of Denver City, Texas; four brothers, Francisco Rodriguez of Mexico, and Cruz Olivas and wife Maria, Humberto Olivas and wife Maria, and Jose Olivas and wife Bernarda, all of Seminole; three sisters, Merced Franco of Mexico, Maria Elena Galindo of Waco, Texas, and Petra Alvarez of Midland, Texas; and two grandchildren, Kaley and Erick Eloy de Diaz.
