Celia Garcia, a cherished wife, devoted mother, and faithful servant of God, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 28, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born on February 18, 1943, in Sinton, Texas, in the county of San Patricio, Celia was a radiant soul whose warmth and dedication shaped the lives of all who knew her. As a loving and devoted housewife, she poured her heart into her marriage of 48 years to her beloved husband, Jose Manuel Garcia Jr. Together they built a beautiful life and made their home in Midlothian, Texas for over 35 years.
Celia's role as a mother was her greatest joy. She raised seven children with unconditional love and grace. She preceded in death by her eldest son, Ricardo Garcia and eldest daughter Lillian Renteria. Her legacy continues through her surviving children: Linda Bumbalough, Anthony Lee Barrera, Sonja Barrera, Michael Roy Barrera and Nancy Virginia Carr.
She was also preceded in death by her father, Manuel P. Villarreal; mother, Isidra Dunlap; and brothers Johnny Villarreal and Danny Dunlap. Celia's surviving, loving siblings are Olga Gomez, Doris Villarreal, Linda Villarreal, Nancy Ortiz and Sterling Dunlap.
Celia was a godly woman, graced with a spirited sense of humor and unwavering devotion to her family. Her love knew no bounds-she adored her husband, 7 children, 24 grandchildren and a multitude of great-grandchildren deeply. Her presence brought joy, and her memory will remain forever etched in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Celia's life was a testament to faith, love and resilience. Though she has departed this earthly life, the imprint she left on the world endures in the lives she nurtured, the prayers she whispered, and the laughter she shared. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.
