Charlene Campbell Obituary

Charlene Rhey Campbell passed away on the morning of Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, at the age of 82. Charlene was born in the town of Cisco, Texas on November 3rd, 1942, where she was raised and spent her early years surrounded by family and friends. She was the second child of the late Eugene and Thelma Watson.
Charlene was a graduate of Cisco High School in 1960 and then attended business school at Cisco Junior College where she was a member of the original drill team, the Wrangler Belles. She dedicated many years of service as a secretary to the Inorganic Chemistry Professor at Texas A&M University, from where she eventually retired.
Above all else, Charlene treasured her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, always proud of her children and grandchildren. Some of her greatest joy came from watching her grandchildren grow and excel, especially as they competed in sports. She rarely missed a game, whether cheering in the stands or streaming the games on her iPad/phone.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Thelma Watson and her sister and brother-in-law, Major and Dorthy Farnsworth. She is survived by her son, Kevin Campbell and wife, RosaLinda; daughter Kristi Johnson and husband, Jimmy; daughter Kaci Haas and husband, Clint. Also, her grandkids, Jimmy Johnson II, Jacob Johnson, Bryson Campbell, Garrett Tolleson, Justin Johnson, Kaden Campbell, Kaylee Tolleson, Caitlin Haas, as well as a host of dear friends.
Charlene's legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family will be always remembered.
A celebration of life will be held on June 14th at 11:00 a.m. at River of Life Family Worship Center in Fairfield, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to The River of Life Family Worship Center in Charlene's memory.
