Mr. Charles Richard Chitwood, age 79, of Tompkinsville, Ky, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Monroe County Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Tim McHenry and Dr. Jerry Bean officiating and interment to follow in the Moss Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday, June 27, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service.
He was born on Sunday, June 2, 1946, to the late Neville and Cenia Ree (White) Chitwood. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister Linda Seals.
Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1967-1970. He was stationed in Germany for part of his enlistment. He worked for UPS for thirty-five years driving a tractor trailer; after retiring in 2005, he and Donna moved to a family farm in Monroe County Kentucky. It was then he began to raise and tend to beef cattle, which he considered enjoyment,
He was a member of the Germany Church of Christ.
He is survived by his spouse, Donna Chitwood; daughter, Rachel Crabtree and husband Brandon; granddaughter, Anna Saliba; brother, Jackie Chitwood; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors that will mourn his passing.

Rachel, Donna and family, so sorry to hear about C.C. ran with him many a time. We played a lot of golf and we had good times debating Vandy and UT. Sorry I can't make it Saturday. God bless you all and prayers to you all.
