Charles was born in Salinas, CA. He spent 20 years serving in the Air Force followed by 15 years serving Veteran's Affairs as the Chief of Police in the Martinez and San Francisco VAs.
Charles was preceded in death by his first wife, Helene; second wife Vida; and son Maurice. Charles leaves behind his wife Bonnie; sons Rick and Eric; stepdaughter Clarissa Hamilton; as well as many relatives and friends.
Services will be held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd, Dixon, CA on October 28th at 9:30am.
