Charles E. Harrison, age 87, of Erie, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025. He was born in Erie on June 8, 1938, son of the late Andrew Frederick and Sophie Harrison.
Our dad's kindness, generosity and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He was an entrepreneur. Chuck was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and he will be surely missed.
Chuck was a 1956 graduate of Tech Memorial High School. He first owned a Sunoco Gas Station, then over the years, had several new car dealerships in Erie, including the first Mazda dealership. Chuck also opened up the first tanning salon in Erie called Sunshine Tan. Later in life, he had numerous retail and wholesale stores. His last venture was owning the Parkview Pub in North East. Chuck was also active in many social clubs.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 65 years, Veronica Harrison; five children, Christine Sharp (David), Debbie Harrison, Becky Harrison, Erin Keisel and Timothy Harrison; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Scott Harrison; and one brother, Ronald Harrison.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Sunday, July 13th, from 5 to 7 pm. A private entombment will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38101. Condolences may be sent to www.dusckasfuneralhomes.com.
