Charles Raymond "Chuck" Hotchkiss, born on June 12, 1929, in North Royalton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, at Clapps Nursing Home in Asheboro. Chuck lived a remarkable life, reaching the age of 95. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Chuck spent over four decades in Asheboro. Chuck is a General Motors retiree. Chuck has always enjoyed music, playing the piano, whistling, cutting the grass and a cold beer. He held a deep passion for golf as an avid player and cherished member of the Pinewood Golf Club. Those who had the pleasure of meeting Chuck always remarked on his infectious smile and friendly demeanor. Chuck proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict. His commitment to service and dedication to family were evident throughout his life. Chuck is survived by his devoted wife of over 70 years, "Mickey" Arvilla Hotchkiss, who was his constant companion and source of strength. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his son, Jay Hotchkiss of Albany, WI and his daughter, Laura D'Angelo and her husband Bernie of West Bloomfield, MI. Chuck also leaves behind his brother, George Hotchkiss of MI, and a proud lineage of grandchildren: Lisa and her husband Jason, Julie, and Andy. His legacy continues through his great-grandchild, Max Charles. The family will conduct a private service of remembrance at a later date. Chuck's warmth, kindness, and vivacious spirit will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
