The family will receive visitors at Church on Tuesday from 11AM until the time of service.

Dorothy was born April 24, 1935, in Flint, Michigan to the late Simon and Gladys (Raymond) Kalfs. Dorothy graduated from Sacred Heart High School and built a remarkable career at General Motors, where she dedicated 30 years of her life working in the tool crib. After her retirement, she continued to serve her community through her position with the Clio School District in the Janitorial Department. On Valentine's Day in 1961, Dorothy married the love of her life, Donald Tarrant, creating a home filled with joy, love, and laughter. Together, they cultivated not only a beautiful life but also a loving family that remained in her world. Dorothy was a woman of deep faith and was a member at Messiah Lutheran Church. She was also an active member of the Moose Lodge in Birch Run, the Clio Eagles, and The Red Hat Society. Her passion for community service shone brightly through her volunteer work at the Clio Senior Center and the Clio Amphitheater, as well as her participation on the Clio Township Board. In her free time, Dorothy enjoyed line dancing, reading, and golfing. A lover of card games, especially euchre, cherished moments shared over a good game, a cold beer, and laughter with friends. Known for her spirited personality and her famous Irish Goodbyes, Dorothy was a true social butterfly who had an inspiring way of bringing people together. She was a spitfire who spoke her mind, always offering love and wisdom in equal measures. Dorothy Lorraine Tarrant will be remembered as a wonderful woman who embodied love, faith, and family. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
