CHARLES H. OHMS, 82, of Jackson, Missouri, formerly of Evansville, Illinois, passed away at 1:50 pm, Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Monticello House, Jackson, Missouri.
He was born to the late William R. and Hazel (nee Bertholl) Ohms on June 26, 1943 in Preston, Illinois.
Charles married Alice Yonaka on April 24, 1965 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois; she survives.
He had worked in the printing trade for 20 years, for Kenny Niermann for 10 years, and then at Ace Hardware for 7 years. Charles then worked in maintenance at the Adorers of the Blood of Christ Convent in Ruma for 17 years. He had also served as the Village Clerk in Evansville from 1978-1982. Charles and his wife also owned and operated the Picnic Basket in Evansville from 1990-1997.
Charles was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois. He enjoyed woodworking, yard work, landscaping and could pretty much do anything.
