Charles "Lesley" Russ, born on January 18, 1958, in Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, in Picayune, Mississippi. Lesley lived a life that embraced both the beauty of nature and the joy of community. He cultivated loving relationships and was known for his outgoing nature, never meeting a stranger.

Lesley dedicated a significant portion of his life to helping run horse shows alongside his parents,  His passions were wide-ranging; he experienced immense joy while sitting on the pier fishing for hours, and found excitement in hunting trips with family. Additionally, he was an avid bird watcher, maintaining over ten bird feeders that attracted a vibrant array of feathered friends to his home.

He is survived by his beloved sister, Katherine Russ, along with numerous uncles, aunts, and extended family members, who will continue to cherish his memory.

Lesley was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nancy Russ,

A visitation will be held in his honor on June 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Riemann Family Funeral Home in Long Beach, Mississippi, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Lesley will be laid to rest at Courtenay Cemetery in Pass Christian, Mississippi, during a burial service at 1:00 PM.
