Charley J. Jackson, Jr., better known as "CJ", passed away at the age of sisxty-nine (69) in his home in Snow Hill, Maryland. He was born to the late Arthur and Minnie Jackson on October 20, 1955 in Hazlehurst, Georgia.
Charley received his education from Ross Street Elementary and Worcester High Schools before they integrated in 1969. He then went on to graduate from Snow Hill High School in 1973.
Ater graduating, "CJ" remained in the area and met the love of his life, Linda. Later in life, they had children and got married.
His first place of employment was at Holly Farms as a yard worker. After his boss noticed "CJ's" ability to run the control room without failure, he was immediately promoted to supervisor of the control room where he worked until the company shut down. He then worked at Chesapeake Foods/Tysons until he left to go work at Mountaire with his wife Linda until 2001. In 2001, he went into business with his father as an independent contractor in Scrap Metal Recycling.
"CJ" loved praising the Lord, crabbing, fishing, inventing things and playing guitar in the band with his siblings. He was a master artist and a 3rd degree black belt in Martial Arts. He also enjoyed riding motorcycle, gardening and spending time with his family.
He leaves to cherish loving memories with: his two sons, Randolph Showell and Charley Jackson; his three daughters, Linda Deshields, Charlene (Keith) Datesman and April (Shon) Gordon; his 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; his two sisters, Glorious J. Roberts and Ludell Jackson and his three brothers, Billy (Claretta) Jackson, Henry (Sharon) Jackson and Richard Jackson.
He was preceded in death by: his loving wife of twenty-one (21) years, Linda M. Jackson; his parents, Arthur and Minnie Jackson; his sister, Anne Anthony and his son, Shawn A. Jackson.
