Cherie Ann Pogany, 77, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, passed away on Monday, August 25th, 2025. She was born on August 21st, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to Ernest and Elsie (Knoop) Wepf.

Cherie is preceded in death by her parents, mother, Elsie Lora (Knoop) Wepf, father, Ernest Wepf, sisters; Linda Wepf Johnson, Vicki Wepf Allen and brother, William E. Wepf.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, David Pogany, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, his daughter, Grace Pogany and her daughter, Isabella Scullion, daughter, Michelle (Walters) Price, husband, John Erik Price and son Gray Williams, daughter, Missy Walters, her partner, Cassie King, son, Blake McNeely and his son, Asher McNeely, son, Callen Walters, wife, Kiley Walters, daughters; Ashlynn Walters and Amella Walters, sisters-in-law, Roxie Walters, and Dorlisa Pogany, brother-in-law, Kevin Pogany, Reba Pogany along with many nieces and nephews.

During her lifetime Cherie had worked at Critters Corner Pet Store for 25 years before retiring. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Per her wishes, cremation will be accorded with private placement at a later date.

Memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
