Christina "Chrissy" Shelton Brumbalow Mooney, 62, of Belmont, NC, passed away on June 19th, 2025 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
She was born in Charlotte, NC on November 13, 1962 to John and Bonnie Shelton. Chrissy was a devoted spouse and mother and is survived by her husband, Johnny; three daughters, Shannon Brumbalow, Heather B. Jordan (Gary) and Alexa Mooney; brothers, Craig Shelton and Scott Shelton; grandchildren, Jewell and Charlie Jordan.
Chrissy loved going to the beach and helping others. Her passion was her family especially her 2 grandchildren whom she adored. She spent many hours volunteering at their school.
She will be remembered for her love of her grandchildren, her compassion and caring for others, riding her Harley through the beautiful mountain scenery and walking the trails to the waterfalls. She was witty and had a great sense of humor but her kindness was her legacy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Joseph Charles Brumbalow; and a sister, Sandy Wilhelm.
