Christina Dawn Castonguay-Dauscher, lovingly known as Crissy, of Saint Jo, Texas, departed this life on July 11, 2025. She was born on January 8, 1973, in Okeene, Oklahoma, to Dennis Ray Castonguay and Cathy Maxine Castonguay. Crissy grew up in Watonga, where she graduated from Watonga High School in 1992. Soon after, she met the love of her life, Eric Scott Dauscher, and together they built a beautiful life and family rooted in love.
Crissy was a woman of many passions. Whether tending to her garden, decorating for the holidays, or exploring the outdoors, she brought joy to every moment. She especially loved spending time with her family-riding ATVs through the countryside or relaxing around a campfire under the stars. And when it came to making mud pies, no one could beat her-she was the reigning champion of every childhood competition. These simple adventures, filled with laughter and love, became the memories her family will cherish forever.
Her true light shone brightest in her role as a mother. Crissy had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel seen, loved, and welcomed. Her home was a haven of comfort, often filled with the aroma of homemade bread, noodles, and baked goods-and always with the sound of her hearty laughter.
She wasn't perfect-and she never pretended to be. But she was real. And she was ours. She gave us memories we'll carry with us forever and a love that remains, even in her absence. Though she is no longer physically present, her spirit lives on in the lessons she taught, the warmth she shared, and the unwavering support she gave so freely. We will miss her gentle presence, her comforting hugs, and the way she made everyone feel at home.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Eric Scott Dauscher of Saint Jo, Texas; her children: Levi Chandler Dauscher of Saint Jo, Texas, Paige Nicole Dauscher and Matthew Roberts of Whitesboro, Texas, and Brach Landry Dauscher of Saint Jo, Texas; her godchild: Theressa Bryant; her grandchildren: Wrenlee Rose Roberts, Octavia Celeste Dauscher, Cameran, Connor, Genessis, Isabel, and Johnny; her beloved mother: Cathy Maxine Castonguay of Aubrey, Texas; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Eric and Sharon Dauscher of Saint Jo, Texas; her sister: Carrie Sanders, and husband David Sanders of Aubrey, Texas; her brother: Scott Zimmerman of Bethany, Oklahoma; her cherished nieces and nephews: Carissa Lanae' Sanders, Spencer David Sanders, and Shiri Janae Johnson; and many extended family members and treasured friends who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Ray Castonguay of Watauga, Oklahoma; her grandparents: Raymond and Evelyn Castonguay of Omega, Oklahoma, and Joseph and Audrey Corrigan of Watonga, Oklahoma; and a beloved aunt whom she adored: Margaret McReynolds.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Dye Mound Cemetery in Saint Jo. A visitation will be held from 6:30-8:00 PM on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Scott Funeral Home in Muenster.
