Christine Morrison Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Carol Morrison, a beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated public servant. Christine was born on December 20, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, to Stewart and Gladys (Fox) Wheeler. She passed away at the age of 76 on July 11, 2025, at the Detroit Receiving Hospital.
A proud resident of New Baltimore, MI, Christine devoted her career to serving her community as a Detroit Police Officer. Her dedication and commitment to her work were inspirational, and she was deeply respected by her colleagues and the community she served.
Christine was the beloved wife of the late Hugh J. Morrison Jr., who preceded her in death on February 10, 2014. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Patricia Morrison, Hugh J. Morrison III, and Stewart Morrison. Christine was a proud grandmother to Vaugh, Nico, Nino, and Nala Morrison and cherished her role as a great-grandmother to Nino Morrison Jr. and Mozzy Whitaker.
She is survived by her sister, Cathy Fahrner, and was predeceased by her siblings, Miriam Moons, Diane DiCicco, and George Wheeler. Christine also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and her cherished fur babies who will all dearly miss her presence.
A visitation will be held to honor Christine's life on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home located on 35259 23 Mile Rd., New Baltimore. A funeral service will take place on the same day at 6:00 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home.
