Christine Rutherford Obituary
Christine was a born-again believer in Christ Jesus, and she often disguised herself as a nurse. She worked at various times as a baby nurse, a palliative care nurse, and the Nursing and Health Care Coordinator in several different facilities.
Christine's biggest passion in life was to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone with whom she came in contact on her daily journeys. She lived her life always "Blessed and Thankful." She loved people but loved Jesus the most. Christine had a way of making people feel special and loved, no matter who they were or where they were from. She was a living embodiment of Christ's teachings.
Mother to Amanda Rutherford Bailey (Derrick) and Brandon Rutherford, she was the most amazing grandmother to Teagan Dawn Bailey, Rutherford James Bailey, Rylie Kay Rutherford, and Jackson Scott Rutherford.
Christine was born in Tallahassee, Florida, to James Elijah McHaffie and May Ruth Lynch. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Lamar McHaffie and Victor Lynn McHaffie, along with her sister Annie McHaffie. She is survived by her sister, Susie McHaffie of Morristown, TN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Christine at Grace Fellowship of Augusta on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 2:00 P.M.
A special thanks to all the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who were a part of Christine's transition from this life to her new life in heaven.
