Christopher Alfred Mazzola, 71, passed away July 11, 2025. He was born March 22, 1954, the son of Samuel and Helen (Brown) Mazzola in Detroit. He graduated from Denby High School in 1972. Chris was a talented musician. He toured with the Toby Redd Band for several years as the drummer, performing in the metro Detroit area, Canada and California. He took pride in taking care of his yard and enjoyed grilling. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Chris is survived by his loving children Dena (Blane) Huegel of St. Petersburg, Florida, Christopher Mazzola of St. Peterburg, Florida, Sam Mazzola of Clinton Twp.; beloved grandchildren Easton, Ella, Giuliana, and Sophia. Also surviving his mother Helen and brother Sal Mazzola. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Betsy and father Samuel. Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Grace Christian Church (33801 Van Dyke Ave, Sterling Heights, MI 48312.) The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM. Be sure to share a fond memory at Chris's memorial page at www.muirfh.com.
