Christopher Morris Obituary

Christopher Robin Morris, 67, passed away peacefully at his home in Charlevoix, Michigan, during the early morning hours of July 10th, 2025, with his wife by his side.
Chris was born in Muskegon and graduated from Orchard View High School. In 1977, he married the love of his life. They settled in Charlevoix, raised 2 boys, and built their home together.
Chris was a licensed carpenter by trade and built many fine homes in Northern Michigan. He enjoyed long strolls along the Lake Michigan shoreline with his wife, searching for beach glass and Petoskey stones. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, dirt bikes, and boating. He loved spending time with family and friends. You could always rely on Chris to lend a helping hand and loan his tools, or offer advice on how to make repairs or fix almost anything. Chris had a well-developed sweet tooth and a refined taste for confectionery, including cheesecakes, peanut brittle, and candies.
Chris is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kelly Marie Morris of Charlevoix; his two sons, Adam (Erin) Morris of Dalton, Massachusetts, and Philip (Katie) Morris of East Jordan; his mother, Juanita Morris of Muskegon; and his sisters Michelle Morris of Ellsworth, and Carla Lameris of Grand Haven, and his brother, Craig (Jenny) Morris of Plymouth, WI. He also leaves behind 12 nieces and nephews, as well as many other family members and friends whom he loved. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Eugene Morris of Ellsworth.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Ellsworth Wesleyan Church Fellowship Hall on August 2, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
