In Loving Memory of Christos "Chris" Andreoulakis,
December 2, 1954 – July 5, 2025
With hearts full of sorrow yet anchored in the hope of eternal life, we announce the passing of Christos "Chris" Andreoulakis, who departed this earthly life on July 5, 2025 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. He was 70 years old.
Chris was born in the village of Myriokefala in Rethymno, Crete, Greece, on December 2, 1954, to Nikolaos and Maria Andreoulakis. Rooted in the rich traditions of his homeland and the Orthodox Christian faith, Chris carried with him a deep love for family, service, and God.
On February 20, 1975, Chris married the love of his life, Luz Andreoulakis, beginning a sacred journey of nearly 50 years. Together they built a life filled with love, devotion, and faith, raising three sons: Nikolaos, Andreas, and Emmanuel-each of whom was the joy of his heart and a source of deep pride.
Chris was a pillar of strength for his family-a devoted father and doting grandfather to Amalie, Odette, and Alexandros, with whom he shared his talents, stories, and love of nature. Whether playing cards, fishing, or crafting projects with little hands beside him, Chris delighted in passing on wisdom, joy, and tradition.
A man of deep spiritual conviction, Chris was one of the founding members of St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Naples, Florida. His love for the Church was evident in his faithful service, whether through participating in ministries, supporting church organizations, or nurturing the spiritual lives of the youth-including his own children.
Though we grieve the loss of Chris, we take comfort in the promise of the Resurrection, trusting that he now rests in the embrace of our Lord, reunited with his beloved son Andreas and all who have gone before him in faith.
Chris is survived by his devoted wife Luz, sons Nikolaos and Emmanuel, Daughters in Law Andria and Shannon, and his treasured grandchildren Amalie, Odette, and Alexandros. His memory will be eternal in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. at Palm Royale Funeral Home & Cemetery, 6790 Vanderbilt Beach Rd. Naples. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 11, 2025 at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, 100 Airport Rd. Naples. Interment will follow at 11:15 AM at Palm Royale Cemetery. Family and friends are warmly invited to a luncheon celebration of Chris's life at Greek Town Taverna, 2440 Vanderbilt Beach Rd #200, Naples, immediately following the burial.
In lieu of flowers, please help support those in financial need by making a charitable donation to the Agape Charities at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Naples at https://stkatherinenaples.org/agape-charities/
May his memory be eternal.
