C.W. Lowrey, Jr, 88, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 18, 2025, with his family by his side.

Born on February 9, 1937, to Cleveland Woodrow Lowrey, Sr., and Jessie (Wood) Lowrey, C.W. lived a life rooted in hard work, devotion to family, and a love for the simple joys in life. He and his beloved wife, Patsy (Wingfield) Lowrey, owned and operated a successful cafeteria in Little Rock for 32 years before retiring. He also served with the U.S. Forest Service for 4 years and later worked for the City of Paris for 10 years-a role he especially enjoyed, taking great pride in keeping the city looking its best.

A true family man, C.W. found joy in his home, his yard, and his garden, which stood as a testament to his work ethic and attention to detail. He loved gospel and country music, cherished time spent quail hunting with his sons, and never missed a good day at the horse races.

C.W. was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Rhonda Russell; and his sisters, Bobbsey Uhrich and Shirley Septer.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patsy Lowrey; his children, Brian Lowrey (Patricia) of Redfield, Brent Lowrey of North Little Rock (and his former wife Kelli, whom C.W. loved and teased right out of her shyness), Mark Lowrey of Fort Smith, and Renee Cupit of Lavaca; as well as two step-sons, David and Gary Criswell of Tennessee.

C.W. also leaves behind his sisters; Betty Schouweiler of North Little Rock, Linda Carpenter of Fort Smith, and Jerry Hild of Benton; five grandchildren, Wesley, Bailey, Corey Lowrey (Brooke), Lacy Williams (Eric), and Ryan Russell; and six great-grandchildren, Trace, River, Fletcher, and Cooper Lowrey, and Rory and Madison Williams.

A memorial gathering and burial of cremains will be announced at a later date.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the Oak Grove Fire Department for their kindness, care, and support.

C.W. will be deeply missed by all who knew him, remembered for his strong spirit, generous heart, and the quiet way he showed his love-through service, laughter, and a perfectly kept lawn.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home of Paris.
