Cleveland "Jeep" Morris
August 10, 1942 – July 13, 2025
Cleveland "Jeep" Morris, 82, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, at UK Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
Born in Cynthiana on August 10, 1942, Jeep was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, U.S. Army veteran, and a man defined by faith, humility, and hard work. His life was marked by quiet strength, steady hands, and an unwavering commitment to his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 62 years, Barbara Ann Morris (née Wilson), of Cynthiana, a brother, Robert (Ann) Morris of Danville, Ky, and their dedicated friends and family. Together, they built a strong and loving home for their five children: Thomas "Tom" (April) of Cynthiana, Tracy (Eric Brinkmeyer) of Cynthiana, Tina (David Swinford) of Cynthiana, Chris of Cynthiana, and Craig (Jennet) of Annapolis, Maryland.
Jeep was proud of his growing family, which includes twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren-each of them a source of great strength to carry on in his later years.
Tom's children are Taylor Wyatt, and Thomas, Jacob, and Morgan Morris.
Tracy's children are Joshua Oliver (Alicia), parents of Carson and Paxton; Tabitha Whalen (Sean), parents of Braiden and Rook; and stepchildren Jason Brinkmeyer, father of Jayden, Gavin, and Easton, and Charlee Wiglesworth (Matt), parents of Corbin and Navy.
Tina's children are Kaitlyn Stahl (Ethan), parents of Easton, Emyrson, and Emmett, and Madelyn Caudill (Daniel).
Craig's children are Elizabeth and Aidan Morris.
Jeep will be remembered for his generosity, pragmatism, and unshakable calm. He was a family man in the truest sense-always there for advice, offering quiet support, and lending practical wisdom without ever demanding the spotlight. A lifelong car enthusiast and lover of cowboy and western shows, Jeep could often be found with a hot cup of coffee in hand, no matter the season.
He was the kind of friend who showed up when it mattered, and the kind of grandfather whose gentle laugh and strong hugs made everything feel a little more secure.
Funeral services will be held at Ware Funeral Home on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. in Cynthiana, KY. A private graveside service for family will follow immediately thereafter. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 1317 US 62, Cynthiana, KY 41031.
Though Jeep has left this world, his legacy lives on in the love he gave, the strength he instilled, and the many stories that will be shared-again and again-by those lucky enough to know him.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of Dover Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Georgetown, as well as UK Chandler Medical Center and UK Good Samaritan, for their compassion and care. View and sign the guestbook.www.warefuneralhome.com.
