Clyde L Moore, they don't make em like that anymore.
Clyde, 85, of Camden Tennessee passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at St Thomas hospital in Nashville. Born December 23, 1939, to the late William Thomas Moore and the late Bertha Kee Moore of Camden, TN.
He was a devout husband and survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Lynne Hancock/Moore, his children Garry Allan and Howard Wayne Moore and Howard's partner Rosemary Lanigan/Hastings of Camden. His grandchildren, Joshua Wayne Moore and Marijo Louise Moore of Camden and New Johnsonville, respectively.
Clyde was well known as owner of Motor Parts & Bearing Co. of Camden, New Johnsonville, and Waverly, TN. A hard-working man, he began his career as a teen leading to his businesses and a career spanning over 60 years.
He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, 2156 Camden for over 60 years. Worked through the ranks, settling in as an elder, he is now an "absent member" at the Camden Elks. His Elks Lodge and his brothers/sisters there meant a lot to him.
According to his son, Howard, there is so much to say about his daddy. Clyde's sibling, 2nd Lt Thomas Howard Moore caught flack in his P-47 over Germany in WW-II, Gordon Moore deceased, Marcella Thompson deceased, Joe Neil Moore living, Bobby Moore living, they all meant the world to Clyde. And he "took the best of care" of his family. He is sorely missed.
Clyde was a man of integrity, kindness, and generosity. He left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His memory lives on forever.
They certainly don't make em like that anymore.
