Connie A. True, 77, a lifelong resident of Dowagiac, passed away Monday morning, July 14, 2025, at Ascension Borgess-Lee Hospital in Dowagiac.
She was born on May 3, 1948, in Dowagiac, the daughter of Dickson and Mary (Keene) Peck. Connie was a 1966 graduate of Dowagiac Union High School. On April 27, 1968, she was united in marriage to Robert "Ed" True.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Ed True; two sons, Rob (Nancy) True and Scott (Sarah) True; five grandchildren, Travis (Sabrina Wilkins) True, Jordyn (Kyle) Center, Natalie True, Nathan True and Brigg True; two great-grandchildren, Adalynn and Wyatt; sister, Donna (Jack) Johnson; and two nieces, Becky Dollins and Cara Barth.
Preceding her in death were her parents and infant brother.
A service to celebrate Connie's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Clark Chapel – Starks Family Funeral Home, 405 Center St, Dowagiac, where friends may visit with Connie's family from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
