On Monday, December 9, 2024, while in the comfort of her son’s home and the presence of loved ones, Cora (94 y/o) entered the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, Jesus. According to the Father, her journey on Earth was complete as she has touched so many lives in such a positive manner; as only a woman of God can do with the spirit of the Lord within her heart. During her journey, she was a long-standing member of Lanes Chapel A.M.E Church where she joined at an early age serving within the Church Body. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to many within her community. Cora is preceded in death by her husband Uylss Moore of Niota, TN; parents Alex and Mattie ‘Sweetmama’ Bradley of Niota, TN; four sisters, Martha Bradley, Grace Smith, Geneva Smith, and Annabelle Moore; and four brothers, Louis Bradley, Earnest Bradley, Robert Bradley, Alex Bradley, Jr, and grandson; A. Marvell Moore.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her two daughters, Charlotte (Harry) Owens of Athens, TN and Greta (friend Richard Smith) Smith of Etowah, TN; and Son; Allen (Helen) Moore of Cleveland, TN; grandsons Ulyss Owens (friend Macy) of Athens, TN, Cyrus Smith and Solomon Smith, both of Niota, TN, Keyonsay Moore of Fayetteville, NC, Tyrone Beck of Cleveland, TN, and Joshua Smith of Etowah, TN; great-grandchildren Cyrese Smith, Jathan Owens, Tyler Peel, Tre’var Moore, Alaysha Moore, Jadyn Moore, Na’Jah Moore, Na’Kyran Moore, Cheyenne Whaley, Terrika (Blake) Wiggins, Adessa Norman, Ketura Moore, Tianna Beck, Taniah Beck, and Bentley Smith. And to her favorite nieces Helen Bradley and Maey Bradley, favorite nephews; Charles Bradley and Murril Bradley, and great-niece; Elisha ‘Lisa’ Bradley.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Lanes Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Niota, TN. with Rev. Hugh Dixson officiating. Family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Interment will follow the service at McMinn Memory Gardens.
