Corina Z. Morales, 86, of Floresville, TX, passed away on June 30, 2025. Corina was the daughter of Eduardo Botello Zuñiga and Micaela Benitez Zuñiga, born in San Antonio, Texas, on December 18, 1938.
Corina was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a strong woman who tried to do it all for her family. She worked hard to support them, always worried for their safety, sacrificed so they had what they needed, and fought through years of illness so she could keep caring for them as long as she could. She spent her life doing her best for those she loved and always made holidays special - cooking, baking cookies, and decorating for Christmas, Easter, and every occasion in between.
She is preceded in death by her brother Baby Zuñiga, her father and mother, her son Baby Morales, her son Vicente Zuñiga Morales, her husband Vicente Polendo Morales, and her daughter-in-law Gloria Morales.
She leaves behind her children, Eloise Medina (Adolph), Edward Morales, Gilbert Morales (Cynthia), David Morales (Lee), and Daniel Morales; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her sister Minnie Zuñiga Trejo and her husband Mario, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place at Vinyard Funeral Home on Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 5:00 PM–8:00 PM, with a holy rosary to be recited there at 7:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 4, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with interment to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jonathan Morales, Justin Morales, Kevin Morales, Mario Eduardo Trejo, Ralph Morales, and Ruben Morales.
Her uncanny intuition to be right, even though we thought she was wrong, will always make us smile. More than anything, her wit, sass, sarcasm, and that deep need to make sure everyone was cared for will be deeply missed.
