Craig Steven Ranes of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the age of 55. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI on July 29, 1969 the son of Kathy Steppenwolf.
Craig attended, and graduated from, Kalamazoo Central High School. It was clear early on that Craig enjoyed working with his hands as there wasn't anything he couldn't fix. Craig went on to work at various construction sites throughout Kalamazoo.
Craig was preceded in death by his mother (Kathy) and brother (Bruce). He is survived by his three daughters, Danielle, Sydnee and Megan; siblings, Todd (Audrey) and Patti (Mark); and several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 20th at Gull Prairie Clubhouse at 4350 Gull Run (If you come in off of G Ave, the clubhouse is the 3rd left.) from 1-3 pm. Craig will be missed by his family and friends.
He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his willingness to help others.
