Craig William Smith, 66, of Smiths Grove passed peacefully on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Tristar Centennial Hospital.

Craig was born in Bowling Green, Ohio, to the late William “Bill” and Lois Hasseler Smith. He is preceded in death by a brother, Krist Smith. He was a self-employed mechanic.

His survivors include his wife Paula Welch Smith, his daughter, Ashley Shirley (Chris), one grandson, Blane Shirley, four sisters, Pam Womack, Kim Merrit, Laurie Cooper (Greg) and Kathy Phelps (Ernie), several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hays Cemetery.
