Crisala James Obituary

Crisala Jane James, 66, born in San Francisco, California, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025. Born on October 8, 1958, to Bob Foster and Susan Carlin, Crisala was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and fiancée whose warmth, creativity, and love for family left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Shauna Hicks-Lauer; cherished grandchildren, Bobbiejo McAdams and Brandon McAdams; and adored great-grandchildren, Kaylee Erickson, Gunner Erickson, Gracie Erickson, Waylon McAdams, and Makenna McAdams. She also leaves behind her loving fiancé, Michael Mims, who brought her great joy and companionship later years. Crisala was preceded in death by her parents, Bob Foster and Susan Carlin, and her son-in-law, Charles "Bobby" Lauer. A woman of many talents, Crisala was known for her crafty spirit and her ability to turn simple materials into meaningful creations. She found her greatest happiness in the presence of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. A loyal fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Crisala cheered on her team with passion and pride. Her generous heart, infectious laugh, and unwavering support for those she loved will be dearly missed.
