CW Ingram was born on November 11, 1941, in Iron Post near Locust Grove, OK, to Cleamon Marion & Juanita Arizona (Englehardt) Ingram. He passed from this life on Friday, June 13, 2025, in Chouteau, OK, at the age of 83 years, 7 months, & 2 days.
CW was raised in Tulsa & graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1960. During his high school years, he worked as a caddy at Southern Hills Country Club. He was later drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War, proudly serving his country while being stationed in New York City. In 1972, he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
CW was a smart, hardworking, & determined man. He began his career with Patterson Steel Company in Tulsa, where he worked for about seven years. Following his military service, he became a real estate agent with Mike Sizemore, serving Mayes County & surrounding communities. In the late 1970s, CW ventured into business on his own, developing a diverse & successful career as an entrepreneur in housing, real estate, construction, & tax preparation.
A man who loved the outdoors, CW was a member of the National Parks Conservation Association & a dedicated supporter of OETA. He gave generously to numerous causes & organizations throughout his life, always quietly & without seeking acknowledgment. On February 22, 1993, CW donated land for the placement of the Oklahoma Mesonet station, which continues to monitor & report Mayes County weather to the National Weather Service to this day.
CW had a deep appreciation for music-including the latest hits on 106.9 FM-& he enjoyed traveling, particularly to the mountains of New Mexico & Colorado. He had a lifelong love of wildlife & took pride in caring for the family cattle herd that his grandfather began generations ago. A passionate horticulturist, he especially enjoyed cultivating trees & cacti.
Though CW had his own unique way of doing things, his generous heart was always evident. He deeply loved his family & was incredibly proud of his son, Clint, & his family. He valued the friendships he built throughout his life. Above all, those who spent any time with him knew that he never went into a McDonalds that he didn't like.
CW is survived by: His son: Clint Ingram & wife Jessica Jones of Inola, OK; 3 grandchildren: Magdalena Cooper & husband Jacob, Z Jones & Brylenn Jones; 2 great grandchildren: Malcom & Nolan Cooper; 2 brothers: Jimmy Ray Englehardt & wife Verda of Kenwood, OK & Christopher Ingram & wife Jan of Lincoln, AR; 2 sisters: Ruby Bush & husband Bob of Eucha, OK & Carolyn Laird of Broken Arrow, OK; Close friends & mother of his son: Janet & Bill Gaiche of Chouteau, OK; CW was preceded in death by: his parents & 1 sister: Patricia Bush.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Meadowbrook Care Center in Chouteau and Good Shepherd Hospice for their kindness & care.
Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the Locust Grove Funeral Home Chapel, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Locust Grove Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Shawn Bates officiating.
