Cynthia "Cindy" D. Bulla, 69, of Mt. Vernon, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025. She was born on September 28, 1955, the daughter of Percy and Margie (House) Blocker.
Cindy married the love of her life, Jearl Bulla, and together they shared many wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and family.
Cindy was well known in the Mt. Vernon community for her 32 years as a beloved school bus driver. She loved her job and took great pride in the meaningful relationships she formed with generations of children she safely transported each day. To Cindy, those kids were like her own, and she cared for them deeply.
Above all, Cindy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and cherished every opportunity to be part of their lives, always present for their special moments. Holidays were a particular joy for Cindy, as they brought her beloved family and friends together-something she treasured deeply.
Cindy's friendships meant the world to her, and her regular get-togethers with friends at McDonald's were a highlight of her week. She also loved camping with Jearl, tending to her flower garden, and sharing her passion for baking with everyone she knew-always making plenty to give away.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Jearl Bulla; daughter, Christy (Mike) Bell; grandchildren, Matthew and Blake Bell; siblings, Mike (Jeanne) Blocker, Kevin Blocker, Karen (Fred) Bromm, Roxie Robinson, and Janet Blocker; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Denning Family Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NewLife Animal Rescue. Online condolences may left at denningfamilyfuneralhome.com
